Tai Chi Walking - August

Tai Chi Walking blends mindful walking patterns with gentle Tai Chi-inspired movement to encourage balance, coordination, posture, and body awareness.

 

Led by a certified Tai Chi instructor, this welcoming class introduces flowing movements, intentional stepping, breathing techniques, and simple Tai Chi forms in an approachable format designed for a variety of abilities and experience levels.

 

Participants will explore relaxed, purposeful movement while building confidence moving through space in a calm and supportive environment.

 

Classes may be held indoors or outdoors depending on weather conditions.

This fall, our Move Well program is growing into a simple, easy‑to‑navigate pathway where each level builds on the last. Whether participants are just beginning or looking to deepen their skills, there’s a class designed to support confident, mindful movement. The pathway also offers flexibility - repeat levels as needed and move up when the time feels right.

Move Well: Improving Balance with Tai Chi and Restorative Exercise 

Move Well: Balance Basics (Level 1)

A gentle introduction to foundational balance and movement skills.

Perfect for beginners or anyone wanting to strengthen stability from the ground up. 

​

Focus areas include: 

  • Core concepts of balance

  • Gentle strength and alignment work

  • Simple, mindful movement patterns​

​

Move Well: Tai Chi (Level 1)
Learn the fundamental Tai Chi forms used throughout the Move Well series.
Slow, mindful movement helps improve focus, coordination, and whole‑body connection.

Tuesdays, September 15 - November 10 (no class 11/4)

9:00 - 10:30am 

8 -week session: $96/person or $72 if repeating this level

​Move Well: Balance Builder (Level 2) 

Prerequisite: Balance Basics
A deeper dive into balance training, adding targeted exercises and more refined movement skills.

 

​

Focus areas include:

  • Expanded alignment and strength work

  • Coordination and footwork drills

  • Intermediate balance challenges

​

Move Well: Tai Chi (Level 2)

Builds on Level 1 Tai Chi with more complex sequences, smoother transitions, and increased mindful engagement.

Level 2 Classes

9:00 - 10:30am

7-week session: $84/person or $63 if repeating this level

​​​Move Well: Balance Pro (Level 3)

Prerequisite: Balance Builder
Our most advanced balance class - integrating all prior skills with higher-level challenges and dynamic applications.

Focus areas include:

  • Complex balance tasks

  • Whole-body coordination

  • Progressive strength and stability patterns

  • Mindful transitions and applied movement scenarios

Move Well: Tai Chi (Level 2)

Builds on Level 1 Tai Chi with more complex sequences, smoother transitions, and increased mindful engagement.

Level 3 Balance and Level 2 Tai Chi Class
